Speed up form design with our new InDesign template

Good forms are designed with many audiences in mind — they must be easy for a voter to complete accurately and quick for an election administrator to process. But too often, designing and updating forms turn into a frustrating process.

CCD design researchers Sean Isamu Johnson and Emma Werowinski teamed up to tackle this problem. They’ve created CCD’s newest tool for election offices – an InDesign template that makes it fast and easy to create print masters and accessible, fillable forms at the same time.

This new template helps with many parts of the form design process:

  • Well designed forms means fewer errors when voters fill them out
  • Good, consistent design promotes trust and civic engagement
  • Designing and updating forms is faster and more efficient
  • Accessibility and interactivity are built into the process
  • InDesign is intimidating, but this template makes it possible for people at all comfort level to create beautiful, accessible forms
