Don’t miss these opportunities for election officials

We’re excited to share 2 opportunities for election officials in this issue of Civic Designing. Both have important dates coming up next week!

Join the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence

You probably read in yesterday’s electionline weekly about the launch of the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence (USAEE).CCD is so excited to be part of this new initiative! Over the next 5 years, we’ll be partnering with 6 other amazing nonpartisan organizations on this new initiative aimed at building a community of support that focuses on the fundamentals of democracy.

The Alliance is currently inviting election officials and others who are interested to get involved with the Alliance. There are a few options to participate. Explore the website and decide which options are the best fit for you!

For example, you can use this form to:

  • Share a note of gratitude for election officials across the country
  • Let us know if your election office is interested in being a Center for Election Excellence (CEE). The cohort of CEEs will receive coaching and resources from the Alliance over the next 2 years and serve as a support system for each other and election officials nationwide.
  • Suggest another office to be a CEE
  • Sign up for updates

The deadline for election departments to let us know if they are interested in being a Center for Election Excellence is Friday, May 6th.

Attend the Democracy Fund State Association Conference

Next Thursday and Friday (May 5-6), Democracy Fund is hosting their annual State Association Conference. CCD will be speaking on both days, sharing out tools we’re developing for voter education and language access.

If you’re a member of your state association, reach out to leadership and ask if someone is attending. If not, see if you can volunteer to represent your state association! This is geared at helping state associations plan for their own summer conferences.

Check out this twitter post for how to register for the conference.
