Isabelle Yisak

“Why?” and “What if?” are the top questions that drive Isabelle’s work in the social sector. As a civic design researcher at the Center for Civic Design, she seeks to identify and demystify complicated systems into inclusive and accessible experiences for new and returning voters.

Prior to joining the Center for Civic Design, Isabelle worked in facilitating and designing learning engagements around Equity-Centered Community Design for youth, higher educational institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. Other past experiences in multi-stakeholder partnerships include improving governmental digital services with the U.S. Digital Response team and working with sustainability-focused organizations in Chicago to build regional resilience to climate change.

By bringing her experience in participatory design, systems thinking, facilitation, and social research methods, Isabelle supports CCD’s mission in dismantling barriers to the democratic process. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University with time spent abroad studying Urban Design in Copenhagen.

At the Center for Civic Design, Isabelle:
