2025 was a big year for us. Despite ongoing federal uncertainty, we worked alongside our partners to support strong, resilient election administration in communities across the country. Election offices at the municipal, county, and state levels sought out collaboration, reaffirming what we see every day: election officials are resourceful, determined, and deeply committed to protecting and strengthening our democratic process.
Here are some highlights. In 2025:
We partnered with municipal, county, and state election offices in 22 states
We trained 4,000 election officials and civic leaders, strengthening civic design practices at a crucial moment for elections
Our redesigned mailings in Rhode Island led more than 30,000 voters to update their information, contributing to the website’s busiest week of online voter registration updates since its launch in 2016
We reached a langauge access milestone during our project with King County (WA) Elections (KCE) where we trained community moderators to conduct usability sessions in 7 languages.
We used civic design beyond voting by supporting Connecticut’s Secretary of State to educate residents about the governance structure of their townships
Our work by the numbers
Looking ahead to 2026, we are focused on supporting election offices through a busy general election year as a steady, strategic voice so election officials can communicate with clarity, consistency, and calm.
